If you’ve ever felt lost in a sea of generalist music schools, you know how frustrating it is to learn a few riffs without ever truly understanding what you’re doing on the instrument.

When I moved to Auckland in 2012, I saw this gap first-hand. It was clear that a specialist guitar school was sorely needed. So, I set out to create one.

World-class education, locally

I built Auckland Guitar School around my passion for helping people actually understand the guitar. Drawing on over 30 years of high-level teaching experience and my studies at both Berklee College of Music and the University of Oxford, my aim was to bring world-class guitar education to Auckland in a way that’s welcoming, practical, and inspiring.
